Working method

Contrary to popular belief, relaxation is not exclusively about peace of mind or well-being. Relaxation therapies are methods for treating and preventing disorders related to chronic or traumatic stress. Based on the contributions of neurocognitive sciences, they use the body as a mediator. They work on the impact and consequences of mind-body memories on our thoughts and behaviour.
It is a therapeutic process that reduces the ef
fects of stress on both the body and the mind.

Its effects are numerous and proven: lowering blood pressure, slowing the breathing rate, improvement of digestion, reduction of stress hormone activity, increase of blood flow to major muscles, reduction of muscle tension and chronic pain, improvement of concentration and mood, improvement of sleep quality and strengthening of self-confidence.

Particularly indicated for those who feel overwhelmed by stress, physical and/or psychological tensions, relaxation therapies also treat psychosomatic disorders, mood disorders (excessive irritability, anxiety, depressive states...), problems linked to hyperexcitability and hyperemotivity (anxiety and panic attacks, traumas, burn-out...), as well as obsessive and phobic disorders.

The following relaxation techniques are offered: Jacobson method, Shultz autogenic training, sophrology, hypnosis, Trager method, Body Stress Release.
They are suggested, chosen and adapted according to the patient's individual needs.
